Add colour and texture to your Bae Band collection with Jijaka River. Made from 100% cotton, this gorgeous fabric features a detailed indigenous print.
JIJAKA is an Aboriginal word meaning "kangaroo”. Jijaka’s colourful, contemporary art tells the stories of desert and coastal tribes who have lived on the Australian continent for more than 40,000 years. Their corroboree ceremonies trace the ancient Dreamtime journeys of spirit ancestors, as they travel the vast Australian landscape.
Royalties from Jijaka sales support the Nangala Project, to relieve poverty and disadvantage amongst Australian Indigenous children and their families through creating locally engaged & sustainable opportunity.
Jijaka is a collection of artworks that were developed by a collective of Aboriginal artists working for the Jumbana Group over the course of 20+ years. All works within the Jijaka archive are now part of the National Museum of Australia's collection.
Welcome to Bae Bands!
Have you always wanted a wire headband that will sit in place all day? then you have come to the right store!
What makes our wire headbands different? They are close to a metre long with a thin wire enabling you to wear your headband as loose or as tight you like (just think, no more headaches!)
The wire is not sewed into a channel! this means that you can move the wire to whatever location is the most comfortable for you! (we love wearing ours at the back)
How do you style them? However you like! Here's some options: Top Knot, Bow, turn upside down, half the fabric and make a thin wire headband, simple twist, rosette, even as a scrunchie!
The possibilities are endless and the best thing is you are only limited by your imagination.
Bae Bands are perfect for those days that you want to jazz up a mum bun, disguise the postpartum hair or cover those greys!
All our Wire Headbands and headwraps are Handmade in Melbourne, Australia
DIMENSIONS: 8cm wide and 96cm long
WASHING INSTRUCTIONS: Hand wash only, air dry and warm iron (don't iron over the wire!)
